six flags great adventure -- Medusa
Something I have always enjoyed and made me forget about anything and everything for about a minute would be ROLLER COASTERS!
Living in the Philippines, we never had real roller coasters that give you all that height and loops. The first one we ever had came to this country around the year 1994 or 1995 and that wasn't much of a roller coaster compared to what western 1st world countries already have. We had 2 tiny loops, 1 twist and that's about it.
Year 2000, I was able to go to New York and stayed there for about a month and a half. New Jersey wasn't far from New Jersey so my cousins and I (all first timers in the US then) went to mapquest and printed directions to Six Flags Great Adventure!
That was when we truly truly had a taste of what Roller Coasters are! and that was when I LOVED roller coasters! The best rush in the world!
Gets you sky high literally! hahah
My favorite, bar none was Medusa! (pictured above). Back then we were only able to ride Batman, Superman, Skull Mountain, The Great American Scream Machine!! I don't remember what else we rode but those i mentioned were already well worth the road trip adventure!
I had the inspiration to write this because I was watching Discovery Travel and Living and saw this feature on roller coasters,... brought me back to the good old days!

Yeah, I had no idea what Six Flags was about 8 years ago! hahaha
Scream and scream and just get that amazing adrenaline rush!
