Everyday I go to CNN.com to find out what's happening around the world. Unfortunately, if it's not something sad, it's something tragic, disturbing or disgusting even. This is why I started this blog. This blog is all about feel good stories. sappy, yeah but we can all use one every now and then. Things that can lift us high above the clouds. :) ss_blog_claim=fb3c65eb182fdd37ae437a694d2ea7d5

Reminiscing

March 3rd 2008 11:13
Yesterday, my son saw his Baby Book and asked me what it was. We browsed through it and I realized I wasn't able to complete it at all. So today, we went to the mall while my son went looking for his bowling set in the Toy Store, I went to the bookstore/stationary shop next door to look for a decent baby book.

I couldn't find one, but I saw a nice scrapbook and quite a few scrapbooking paraphernalias and I decided I'll create a baby book the way I like it with everything I want it to have.

When we got home, I started working on it ASAP and looked at all our photo albums and other stuff I kept during my pregnancy... like my pregnancy test, my prenatal book, ultrasounds, etc. and hubby and me had a great time reminsicing.

It's a lot of fun reminsicing. I love the nostalgia especially when you're sharing it with someone else.

I remember about 2 weeks ago when my high school friends and I met up unplanned and we started reminiscing about things and people during our high school days, we had a blast! The laughter and sometimes even tears give us a great feeling. It sort of brings us back to where we came from.

Sometimes, reminiscing even shows us how far we've come. From high school students to business owners, big bosses or doing our passion. From two couples struggling to make things work to a family doing fairly well in life. Now that gives us a very natural high!

Pictures do a great job at starting the reminiscing.

When was the last time you reminisced about something? Tell me about it
