Life begins

Last February 15, two new lives began. My sister in Law gave birth to two healthy boys. Yes, twins!
I always get excited at the birth of a child. Whether it's mine, my relative's, a friend's or even just an officemate. Soon as I find out someone's pregnant, I get excited and would even go to the trouble of buying little trinkets for the soon to be parent/s and once I know they've given birth, I always have a gift for them, no matter how small.
I know that having a child can be a lot of sleepless nights as soon as you get back home, but nothing compares to the wonderful feeling of carrying a tiny human being in your arms, smelling that indescribably lovely newborn smell and seeing all its tiny-ness.
Tiny feet, tiny hands, tiny nose, eyes, mouth and ears. It's just irresistable. It's a site that can melt anyone's heart.
I consider my boss "the grinch" but when he became a first time father last August, his smile (despite the obvious sleeplessness) and his doting about his son was something he couldn't hide.
The beginning of life, the birth of a child -- gives you the natural high.
